This is a trail rich in history and culture, featuring the tomb of Yeonsangun, the 10th king of Joseon and Princess Jeongui, the second daughter of King Sejong who contributed in the development of Hangeul. It also includes a literary museum honoring the spirit of Kim Su-young, a poet representative of Korea, and a 600-year-old ginkgo tree.
This path includes a monument inscribed with love songs exchanged between Yu Hee-gyeong and Yi Maechang. It also features the Jeonju Yi clan's Yeonghaegun Faction Tombs. Here, Yeonghaegun Yi Dang, the ninth son of King Sejong, along with his father-in-law and descendants, are buried.
Featuring over 1,000 graves of various social classes, from aristocratic to commoners, and hundreds of stone artifacts, including headstones, monuments, and statues of boys. This trail will take you on a historical journey, centered by the "Tombs in Choansan Mountain" designated as National Cultural Property No. 440.
Starting with Changdong History and Culture Park, where the three lion statues of Changdon—Gain Kim Byung-ro, Witang Jung In-bo, and Koha Song Jin-woo, as well as the Statue of Peace are located. This trail allows you to visit the former homes of modern figures who lived in Dobong.
This historical and cultural ecological exploration course allows you to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of Dobongsan Mountain and its valleys. You can also delve into the academic and philosophical legacy of ancient sages through the rock inscriptions left by Joseon scholars who visited Dobong Seowon.
An exploration course includes Seoul Iris Garden (Changpowon Park), a medicinal plant garden, and a wetland garden featuring various flowers and plants such as iris. It also covers the transformation of anti-tank barriers, once symbols of confrontation and division, into a space for culture and arts, among others.
Starting from Dobong District Office to Seoul Iris Garden (Changpowon Park), this exploration course allows local residents to relax and experience the landscape of Jungnangcheon. This is the main river of Dobong, flowing along with its history.
Before Dobong-ro was built in the 1970s, the Trail of Old Dobong Path served as the main road. This trail has become a repository of life and culture over time, not just for those from Dobong but also for many others.
